Troubleshooting Internet Connection Issues

If you're experiencing slow or no connection to the internet, follow these steps:

  1. Check Your Router Status

    • Look at the indicator lights on your router.
    • Ensure all necessary lights are on and that no abnormal lights (such as blinking error indicators) are showing.
  2. Restart Your Router

    • Power off the router and unplug it for about 30 seconds.
    • Plug it back in and turn it on.
    • Wait a few minutes for the router to fully reboot and reconnect.
  3. Verify Connections

    • Check if all cables are securely connected, including power and network cables.
    • Ensure there are no loose or damaged wires affecting your connection.
  4. Test the Connection on Another Device

    • Try accessing the internet using a different device (phone, laptop, or tablet).
    • If the issue persists across multiple devices, it may be a network-wide problem.
  5. Move Closer to the Router (For Wireless Connections)

    • If you're using Wi-Fi, get closer to the router to check if signal strength improves.
    • Avoid physical obstructions that may interfere with the signal.
